The purpose of Surf Life Saving is To protect our community in the water and at Waipu Cove we have been doing just that for over 93 years. Over time the club has developed and thrived within our community and Waipū Cove Surf Life Saving Club have developed these values to reflect the priorities of our club and what we’re about.

Our 24/7 Volunteer Search and Rescue Squad has been out training and exploring our beautiful coastline and this week we tested our capabilities up the Waipu River incase you saw the team in your neck of the woods away from the Surf. We’ll be between the flags this Labour weekend 11-4 Saturday / Sunday / Monday. SLSNZ AON Pool Rescue Champs were held in Auckland in the weekend with Alice representing Waipu Cove!
Super fun first season doing Pool Rescue for Alice. Lots of positive experiences and new skills learnt. Shout out to the Mairangi Bay SLSC coaches and kids for including Alice over the season.
She achieved some fantastic results against a very competitive field of talented young swimmers.
